What is Lumanu’s solution for businesses?

Lumanu is a master vendor for brands, agencies and large talent management companies. Lumanu handles all vendor onboarding, compliance and tax filings. Teams can easily manage payouts and have full visibility into spend.

We are trusted by some of the world’s largest and well known brands including Walmart, Weight Watchers, WPP.

How is Lumanu different from my existing AP solution?

Lumanu is built to allow business teams to move quickly while giving Finance, Procurement, Legal and business affairs teams required compliance and security

Lumanu is a specialized solution which gives better visibility and control over funds
Permissioning is designed to support marketing, procurement and finance teams
Simple onboarding process designed to be easy for creators/freelancers, vs. ERPs and processors such as bill.com that are designed for large vendors
Direct transfer to many international countries, while other processors use wires and do not transfer directly
Designated account manager and front line vendor support

How does Lumanu handle tax paperwork for managers, agencies, and brands?

Lumanu facilitates 1099s so you don’t have to. Lumanu is a third party settlement organization. This means we are responsible for handling tax reporting requirements. Because payments are sent to creators via Lumanu, you do not need to colletc W-9s and you will not be required to issue 1099-MISCs.

Does Lumanu help me find influencers?

At this time, Lumanu does not offer influencer discovery.

What is Lumanu’s payment workflow?

Lumanu has built in role based permissions which includes a user roles for 1) creating payouts 2) approving payouts 3) sending payouts. There is an additional approval step which happens outside of Lumanu by Finance which is paying the Lumanu invoice to fund the account. Lumanu has 3 layers of approvals with the 4th being controlled by Finance/ AP

Do I still have contractors invoice me with Lumanu?

Lumanu supports having contractors invoice you if that’s your process, but we encourage generating the invoices yourself on behalf of your contractors via a .csv file upload to ensure everything on the invoices are accurate

Does Lumanu create and store invoices for payments? How can we access those when audited?

Yes, there is a paper trail of each funding invoice and payout invoice within the app. You can access these documents within your Lumanu account and export in bulk and also a summary of all payouts.

Does Lumanu work with my existing ERP, vendor management and accounts payable software?

Lumanu fits right into your existing processes. We are compatible with all ERP solutions including QBO, Netsuite and Oracle. We work alongside existing vendor management solutions like Coupa and Zip. We integrate into accounts payable solutions, including, Melio, Oracle, Bill, Tipalti, and more. Lumanu serves as your single vendor for creator payments, so you don’t have to deal with vendor onboarding for each partnership. If a creator is not already part of the Lumanu payment network, they can onboard easily in <2 minutes. Save time and significantly reduce the back-and-forth that often happens when working with new creators or freelancers. Lumanu payments is an entirely automated “white glove” experience for you that plugs directly into your existing AP process.

Does Lumanu support International contractors and payments?

Yes! Lumanu supports the International vendors you work with. For an updated list of countries please reference Lumanu for International. You pay in USD and creators can withdraw in their local currency at the midmarket exchange rate. Lumanu does not charge additional fees for supporting International payouts.

Is Lumanu secure?

Lumanu has been in business since 2017. Lumanu is built on top of FDIC insured banking partners and Plaid to ensure that we can collect banking information (via bank login or account & routing number) securely. Lumanu does not access or store sensitive account information. Plaid is technology made for apps and used by top brands like American Express, Venmo, and Acorns as the most trusted technology in the space.
